Urgent Prayer Request for Myanmar: The military invaded the newly elected government leaders and took power from them on 1st February. The military put all the elected country leaders into jail, and since that day the mob started protesting the military dictatorship. Every day in every city and every town of the country, the protestors are larger and larger. The police have shot some people and some have been killed. Every night about midnight, soldiers and police arrest protesting leaders and put them in jail or unknown places. Now every office is closed, including banks. The people of Myanmar have been suffering very badly. Covid-19 law has been forgotten and there are no doctors and nurses at the hospital anymore. No school, no more teachers, no more government employees. Because of the pandemic, many poor people have suffered famine. Our frontline missionaries are depending on the basic support that we send monthly, but for the time being, there is no way of receiving support funds from outside. Please continue to pray fervently for those who live in Myanmar. God can change the dark circumstance into a shining situation.
Peace for Myanmar: Pray for resolution to the world’s longest running civil conflict. Decades long ethnic tensions continue to run high, especially among the majority Burmese army and minority peoples. Pray for peace and justice in this significant year of national elections. Pray for the growth of God’s kingdom throughout this land of Pagodas.
