For more than 165 years, the Evangelical Alliance (EA) in the UK has been bringing Christians together and helping them listen to, and be heard by, the government, media and society.
The EA is a member driven association and works across 79 denominations, 3,500 churches, 750 organisations and has thousands of individual members. However they are not just about connecting Christians within the UK and are a founding member of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA).
Unity is the driving purpose– but not just for unity’s sake. By bringing people together, The EA seeks to follow the John 17 mandate to show the immense love of God, who sent his Son for us. The EA connects people for a shared mission, whether it’s nurturing a church culture which is increasingly confident in the gospel, getting involved in community action or lobbying the government for a better society. The EA informs and inspires Christians with resources, analysis and articles about society, what the church is doing and how they can get involved. The EA represents evangelicals to the media, presenting God’s truth with grace and telling good news stories about the difference Christians are making. The EA believes that the church is the key to long-lasting change in the UK - and that by working closely with members, communities can be transformed with the good news of Jesus.
The EA also seeks to work closely with Global Connections and we faciliate several events together.
